ESA Rear shock

Hi all the rear esa shock on my 55 r1200rt is faulty can i replace it with a non esa shock !
Two heads are better than one.!

I believe you can, although there's a guy over on UKGSer who offers a full rebuild service on them for around £180 all-in.

Not sure if it needs rebuilding or not or if its electrical. pressing and holding the esa switch down dose'nt call up the menu so it stays on one rider.

Is there a local independent mechanic close by? Maybe a GS911 will bring up an error code or failing that a main dealer's computer - might be an easy fix

I was offered a half hour diagnostics for half that (logical) - that might be all you need
