Valve adjustment
Serviced the 1200rt this morning, valves seemed pretty tight so adjusted exhaust to .3 and inlet to .15 is this correct as it sounds more tappy now

I believe those measurements are correct. Did you do them when the engine was stone cold? And did you do the rocker arm end float too?....that needs setting between 0.05 and 0.40mm, a big range, and consensus is that it's better to aim for the smaller measurement as it keeps things quieter and the bike will run better too.

Thanks Pete checked them again i think i didnt have the off side on compression stroke, all is well now.
