Moto Guzzi museum

On my recent holiday to Lake Como in northern Italy, I managed to blag an hour to take a wander through the museum at the Moto Guzzi factory at Mandello del Lario. It's only open from 3:00pm until 4:00pm during the week, but it's well worth a visit if you are in the area. Here are a few of my artless snaps from the visit:
Here's one of the first bikes produced by the company in 1919:
This is an experimental model, which has the ski outriders and was used to cross mountain passes, as commemorated by the brass plate on the front mudguard:
A racer from the 1950's with a strange GS like beak:
Innovative pillion handles on this military bike:
More agricultural than a BMW gearbox?
A large twin cylinder shaft drive adventure bike from 1985. Clearly there would be no market for such a strange machine...
The V8 racer and engine:
Remember that MGS corsa we drooled over a few years ago?
cheers,
Paul
