Roubion - Provence

Postby Blackal » Wed Dec 31, 2014 1:50 pm

Just a random snap of a small village that has intrigued for several years, since my first trip down the Route de Grande Alpes.

Built precariously on the hillside - it looks fantastic in the sunlight.

We visited the village this year, and found a small "hotel", cafe-bar and steep, narrow passageways between the buildings which looked like they would become canoe-runs in the rainy season(s)

12th century  what a fascinating area. An early fortress? Thanx for sharing.
