Hello,
A very haunting place.
We went there as we had seen it in the opening credits of the series "The World at War" which some of you may remember. It was a sunny day when we arrived but on entering the martyred village a storm broke out with thunder & lightning which lasted but 10 minutes. After we emerged from shelter we looked at a notice board and realised quite shockingly that we had arrived at the same time as the Nazis had on the anniversary of that awful day.
It is well worth a stop by if ever you are passing to pay your respects if nothing else.

Thanks for the comment - I took it because of the pattern in the vapour trails (con-trails to our American cousins) - which mimicked the tram cables ....
