These funky bikes are being advertised for silly money these days, think the seller has priced this one very fairly AND he doesn't mention the Y-Piece & aftermarket cans in his ad, I'd have it if I hadn't just bought another.....
The price is right

A lot of people say this to me aobut my 1100RS with black engine.
Nearly always you see them silver / grey.
I started to get a bit concerned myself, but after some research I found out that the very last bikes from 2000 - 2001 did indeed have black engine and telever which was carried over to the 1150RS model.
There are three 1100S's with black engine on ebay right now, all late registrations from 2002, so I'm guessing the last of them got the same engine paint as the RS

When I bought my BCR, I was offered a new blue 11s for the same price (my BCR was used) and it had the black engine

Yep black engines were available from - I think '03. My granite and mandarin had one, far preferable to the silver for me - easier to keep clean and more resilient.
