Maybe not but it would certainly do it in style. Done two 2500m tours on mine with no issues. Bit tight for space on the luggage front but pack light and its great for the distance.

Did a big us trip last September I used r1200rs wife on r1200r lc with friends 2 r1200rs and 1 rt started in Vancouver ended in Calgary, via Washington organon califonia Nevada arazona Utah Colorado Wyoming and Montana, to many highlights to list 4000 miles
