I do too. I bought one. Satisfying bike to ride. Another quirky offering from the factory of nonsense.

Take no notice about the extreme ride position. That is utter bollox.

The rider seems a big lad so I'm guessing he found it a bit cramped, also it may be better for the track having more weight over the front :)

The r9t racer is deceiving,it has a really narrow waistline and minimal back end, it has low posture and a beautifully sculpted tank for the upper legs and knees, the handle positions are not exactly narrow because the tank puffs out a bit to give body to the muscular engine stance, the tank supports a racing crouch and relieves strain on forearms and wrists. I have got to say I have never suffered arm pump on it!!! It does accentuate the leggy rider if they are 6ft plus.

BTW I have watched quite a few vids of the latest boxercup series. It seems to resonate loudly with the ideals of the original series even though the latest offering is far superior. I doubt if it is BMW factory supported. That being the case it says a lot for the BMW Boxer and r9t platform.

I was marshalling when the original series was part of the Grand Prix support races, always good to watch, I was on Goddards at Donington when somebody dropped it on the way in under braking, the thing was still in gear and rotating on the cylinder head, kill switch was tucked under the bike!! We tried to hit Switch with a broom handle while running round as the bike span round, no chance, Then tried to stall it with the broom handle in the wheel, no prizes for getting how that went, in the end we threw a straw bale on top of the wheel and two of us jumped on to to stop it turning while somebody hit the kill switch.
It caused much laughing and helpful comments from the spectators as you can imagine, I have never seen a video of the incident so guessing it must have been during practice.

1) you're welcome

2) thank you ; all save and sound over here ! No Co-19 issues in our family, and still allowed to step on the bike from time to time. Still got the S (already for 14 years now, and now with only some 12.5K miles on it…) and still got the RT. We paid the UK a visit for our holiday last year, and we over here are still a member of the European Union...

Excellent news ! 12.5 k miles on the S  , I barely use mine now but on the mileage you'd have to move the decimal point one place to the right.
