Paul that sounds a good idea. A great opp for me to visit Nathalie at Farthingstone, squeeze in if at all possible a track day at Silverstone be it in our Red Italian four wheeler or my Racer.

Peter. A mature , considered choice of bike. I have long been a fan of middleweights and also taking every opportunity to use my bus pass

Do not dismiss the BMW luggage It`s only what a gentleman deserves

Helpful suggestions

Avoid a Bertie Basset top box (spotted in Ullapool recently)

Chris

Edit. There exists a german online seller of discounted BMW luggage by the name of https://www.bmw-motorrad-bohling.com/uk/

Hi Chris,
Already seen the German retailer, -----might just have to do a few extra days at work before I splash out, decent saving to be had and makes the panniers a possibility!! Not a great fan of top boxes myself. Have splashed out on a decent tank bag already though.

Glad to hear you are back out on bikes and enjoying it Peter.

Haven’t looked too closely at the reviews of the S900XR, but have to say - it certainly looks to be a handy bike.

It’s up against some stiff opposition with the Tracer900 etc.

Must mention it to Dorsetboy (Mike the bastard) as a possible replacement for his Tiger800.

Enjoy! :)
