I've been in Portugal for a few months now trying to convince my ageing brain to learn Portuguese. The roads are stupendous but up until now I've not had my bike with me. This will change as I'm returning to the UK to collect it in mid January.
To avoid any complications en route I would like to know whether the power source for the immobiliser is separate or runs off the bike battery
Immobiliser battery

Re: Immobiliser battery
I guess that depends upon which system you have fitted to the bike.
More details needed before anyone can give you an answer I think.

Re: Immobiliser battery
Hello,
If it is a BMW unit immobiliser/alarm unit combined as fitted to my R1200S then there is an internal quite specific battery within. Not sure what it is - took mine out to find out!
Hope that helps?
Best regards,
David

Re: Immobiliser battery
My mistake should have mentioned that it is just the BMW factory immobiliser. This is the battery I want to either change or buy a spare for.
Where is it located please.
