R1100S REAR AND FRONT SPRING/COIL SET

Good day,


I have a R1100S as a renovation project for this up an coming winter

I am aiming to strip down the front and rear springs as there is minor rust on them and I wish to have them replaced .

I would prefer a standard replacement set

I would prefer the outer protection of the spring to be a black colour , not the standard yellow.

I can see the coil/springs retail for around £87 uk each.

Where would be the most reputable source of obtaining these springs , please

Are you intending to refurbish the shocks or just change the springs? I ask as I had my standard GS shocks serviced, new lowered springs set for my weight fitted by a guy on the GS Site, springs come in all colours inc black! All done for just over £300 inc postage.

I was looking forward to do the work myself over the autumn/winter months , for something to do.

I guess once I strip it all down, I will probably inspect the rest of the bits and replace them as well.

Did you say it was. a GS Site and is this on this website?

I'm not sure if springs as standard are painted or powder coated , is it not just a matter of "refurbishing" the original springs?
