Just in case anyone is considering a bridge type camera just now, having had the Lumix for a while now, I'll say again that for a technophobe like me it's been brilliant. Easy to use, but with plenty to play with once you get more confident,
Definitely recommended :)

My latest target is trying out night shots, I just wish I had put the tripod further away from the road for this one, wee bit camera shake from the passing car has spoiled it. Oh well, least I learned.

I've had Lumix compact cameras for the last 4 years and am on my third. They are work-tools though - so take a real beating.

I try to buy a model which uses the same battery as the previous one, but be careful with "compatible" batteries from other makers - they may work in a TZ-6, or 8, but not in a subsequent model where Panasonic boffins have discovered new ways of preventing their use

I also stick with cameras which use SD cards.

Then plug me back in..........

See if that works .....
