Looks like you are having a fabulous time Al, other than Sue's broken ribs. Your pictures look glorious.
How are you finding the situation in Sri Lanka currently? It's all gone very quiet in the news over here since their PM was overthrown and the whole system of government seemed to be crumbling six months or so ago, with hospitals running out of drugs and farmers unable to get hold of seeds and fertilisers.
Enjoy the rest of your trip and keep the pictures coming.
All the best,
Paul

Hi Paul, as a tourist it seems as though nothing has changed since we were here in March 2020 just before Covid, we actually flew home on lockdown day in the UK, Sri Lanka had locked down 4 days earlier, fortunately we had managed get most of our holiday in, we were not actually thinking of coming back this year because of the issues you mentioned but a guy on the UKGSER forum did a tuktuk tour in January, I exchanged a few messages with him and he said he hadn’t had any problems and they needed the tourist money to help recovery, we have had no trouble getting fuel or food anywhere but when you talk to people there are still some problems but the country has secured a loan and elections are planned and hopefully things will improve more quickly.
They have effectively lost five tourist seasons since Covid and compared to last time there are far less tourists about, but everybody is friendly and welcoming and it is a great place to visit.
Al.

She’s not doing too bad Phil, I know she’s not fussy what she drinks but it’s a job to find drinkable wine out here, if you can it costs more than a hotel room!!
See you in Wales.
Al.
Few more pics, todays pool and beach and isn’t it clever how they make the new Enfields leak just like the originals!

No sailing in Sri Lanka, currently sailing around the Mull area on a friends boat that is based in Oban, a bit chilly up here after Sri Lanka.
Al.
