First real ride on Mark 2
Today I took out the bike I collected from Jez on thursday .
Had a great 150 ride from Ross on Wye , via back roads to Brecon , then on to Hereford , down to Abergavenny then on to Ross .
150 great miles .
Strangely as I was going around the round about at Ross on Wye a red R1100S went across towards M5 ....

Pleased you are having fun with it Gerry. The box and rack are Givi and bloomin useful (need to find one for my new VFR now) but yes fugly.

Mine did a lovely ( some what rapid ) trip to work this evening
I think I'll use the Suzuki for a while ...
Licence preservation and all that !!!
Although I love triggering the camera ( front view ) !!!!

The Givi rack that you have is in my view much more elegant than the Givi "WingRack" that gets bolted to loads of other bikes. Now they really are ugly

There would appear to be a surfeit of prolixity and sesquipedalian content today please do not use a big word when a singularly un-loquacious and diminutive linguistic expression will satisfactorily accomplish the contemporary necessity

New bike is immaculate, really immaculate for a 10yr old bike (seems a shame it'll be my ride to work bike). Only 7K on it.
Seems to go (but not with the same low down urgency of the V Twins), stop and handle OK. Very smooth, stable, great mirrors etc I haven't had a Jap bike for over 12yrs and had forgotten how good (but bland) they are.
Only thing I have fiddled with so far is to ground a couple of wires on the Datatool alarm to stop it beeping when arming and automatically arming the fecking annoying movement/nudge detection!

That's great news .
I'm back to using my Suzuki Motard as my day to day work tool .
More fun through the narrow lanes and twisties ...
But the Beemer is locked away , on the Battery conditioner for a week or so till it gets out for a decent run .
