2012 Irish Photo Rally

Postby nab 301 » Thu Oct 11, 2012 7:25 pm

I completed this years event recently. Some pre planning and studying of weather forecasts permitted me to finish with no overnights and only occasional showery weather.
Potential mechanical maladies documented elsewhere limited 11S usage althought tbh my Deauville was more than capable , more comfortable , and more economical, once the rider was in the correct mindset.....
I finished off with a record ( for me ) of 6 photos in one long day by going a lap (loop) of Ulster with photo points 5, 1,2,3,4 and 8. covering approx 800 kms.
This was possibly the DV's swan song in my hands as i've lent it to an Enfield owning friend who's seen the light and wants to join the modern bike world if the price is right

Nice pictures. Looked like quite an adventure.

Also, its refreshing to see someone who loves their Dustbin. Fab bikes, underated in my book. I'd have another.

Blue is also a very fast colour :D
