My brother had a daft idea earlier in the year and arranged a family get together near Girona at the beginning of October and I thought I'd take a different route to everyone else and have a ferry booked to Bilbao for next Tuesday on the Boxer Cup.
I aim to take a slow ride to the WSB in Aragon (no route planned as I had originally booked accommodation for the 28th & 29th an hour from the circuit so have a couple of days to wobble down there & find somewhere on the way (a 3 day ticket with access to the pits and grandstands was the outrageous price of 40 odd euros + fees, (so how could I refuse?) & changed the ferry to Bilbao to get there earlier and take advantage (was Santander).
First of all is anyone else going that way or have any advice/suggestions as I haven't been to Spain before or come to think of it, It's over 40 years ago since I went abroad or any long distances on the bike and am looking for tips or recommendations before I set off (apart from don't forget the passport) & any suggestions for routes away from the motorways will be gladly received.
I've bought a Michelin map fromAmazon but the scale is a bit small so may pop into Cambridge to see if I can find something else & a decent guide book (ordered 2 online but not that good) & would like to actually see the size of the print as either everything is getting smaller or my eyesight is not what it was (probably both ! ) & I'd like it bigger to avoid taking 4 pairs of specs.
Coming home after the get together the route back is through France up to Caen (4 days) to catch the same ferry in company with my sister & Brother in their car, it will of course be summer by then
Just noticed the time 0.20am !! Going to hit the sac & hopefully get ready over the weekend.

If you have a sat nav I have a holder for the nav mount that screws into the top of the fork leg - free if you make a donation that would cover postage to the site - applies to anyone reading this too
