2021 First Ride

First time out on the old 11S since August last year with the Wrexham contingent.
Surprisingly hot - I had to wear my airflow jacket and pants.
Took me 30 minutes to find all my riding gear as its all in different boxes since I moved house and can't find anything.
Really nice to get out on the bike again, so I did a jaunt up to my local flying club to chat to a couple of mates there.
So was only a 30 mile spin to shake the bike down and wake her (and me) up, hopefully for some longer runs in 2021.

Good for you!! I was hoping to get out today but it was bloody cold here!!Still, I'll be taxing the GS and 12S so fingers crossed the weather will get better but next week doesn't look promising

Decided that despite the thought that the roads might be hoaching with bikes - went out for just a wee bimble today, on my HP2s.

Nipped down to the Glen Cafe at St Mary's Loch (opening 28th April) and found lots of bikes stopping there in the sun, and lots of day-trippers down at the lochside. Hopefully once the cafe is open they get decent weather. The place is an asset to the area.

One noticeable thing -everyone had ultra-clean chains (plenty of time to clean, I guess)

Only gone and done it .... The BMW was delivered back from Dundee on Friday with new MOT and having been serviced for the first time in two years. Went down A9 to Dunblane for fuel and took the long route home.

Roads were very quiet apart from four police cars attending an RTA near Callander. Thoroughly enjoyed my first proper ride for a long time.
