The opportunity of a Friday night and Saturday pass seemed too good to not take advantage of. It was Wednesday, the weather was sunny, and thoughts turned to a cheeky zoom over to South Wales, to practice avoiding sheep on the roads, prior to the Boxertrix North Wales jaunt next month.
I booked in to a nice little B&B near Monmouth for the Friday night, and resisting the temptation to fill two panniers and a top box with gear, set off from work on Friday afternoon chasing the sun to the west.
Friday night, I plotted a nice zig-zagging path across the Brecon Beacons and set off on Saturday morning fuelled up with a hearty breakfast.
The weather was a little grey, but the roads were quiet and a good day's riding was had. My favourite section was at the far west of the Brecons on the mountain road from Brynammam to Llangadog. Had to try that bit out a few times...
Happy days, and roll on Llangollen!
Cheers,
Paul

You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Review of the R1200RS? It's everything you loved in the R1100S, but turned up to number 11 and a few added gadgets thrown in. It doesn't have a telelever, but other than that is the natural evolution of the R1100S, in my opinion.
