Returning to this site after 7 years

Postby Sugarhillctd » Tue Mar 10, 2020 2:32 pm

7 years ago I returned my '04 Boxer Cup back to the dealer- long story.

Then 3 years ago I bought a 2009 R1200RT. Great power, comfortable and a real distance eater. But a too upright sitting position.

4 days ago I traded even for a 2003 Boxer Cup. Yes I wanted another one.

So I am BACK!

Welcome back :hello1:
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Thanks folks. The R1100S needed a new rear brake rotor which the dealer did not have in stock. They will deliver the bike to my garage in 2 weeks.

But the previous owner did include the "Boxer Cup Replika" literature. #111 of 200

Very smart! Enjoy your "new-to-you" bike.

Cheers,

Paul

I wish!

No, it is for when my wife (that is her Subaru) drives in with her car covered in snow and ice. We are about an hour from the Canadian border and get some bad winter storms. The garage does have radiant heat in the concrete floor that keeps the 2 car garage at 10°C so there ends up with lots of water from the melted snow.

Well currently we live in northern New Hampshire. If you know the general area we live about 10 miles from the western end of the "Kanc'".

BUT a couple months ago we bought an eventual retirement home in Milford, Pa. We are only there every few weekends now but hopefully will be living there permanently in a couple years.

Where are you in NE Pa?

I'm mostly in Valley Forge area these days during the quarantine.
Less population density, protected open space & Valley Forge National Park just 1/4 mile from my driveway, make lots of room & routes for cycling & motorcycling.
Otherwise, I work in NYC metro, usually live in Hoboken, NJ during the week.
I escaped the NYC metro since 18 MAR 2020, so far staying healthy.

We escaped the NYC area in 1993! Nice area up here for riding but winters aren't like they used to be, with more ice and rain between snowstorms.

Should have a longer riding season once we live fulltime in Pa.
