Hi guys
Currently have a R1200RT (2103 last air cooled model and 2008 R1200GSA) plus few other brands.
Five years ago I owned a R1100S BCR but traded it on the RT.
Just lately I feel the need for a project so am thinking of building up a copy of the 2003 blue/white BCR except MUST have white wheels.
So my big question for those with all the knowledge is “does the plastic bodywork for the R1100S series fit all years”
Reason I ask is that I’m considering buying a low km R1100S and storing all the original plastics and wheels and fitting out with used items painted to my liking.
Thanks in advance

Re: Another newbie - R1100S plastics
Hi Bajcpa, and welcome to Boxertrix.
As far as I am aware, the plastic bodywork panels are identical from first model to the last, however you need to be careful with rear wheels. They come in two different widths, which are interchangeable, but there are distinct ABS and non-ABS variants which you can't mix and match. I'm sure others will be along with further information if needed.
Cheers,
Paul

You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Re: Another newbie - R1100S plastics
As Paul said fairly certain the panels are the same but unsure about the wheels. The 12s wheels are the same - the front has the ABS ring mounted on the same holes as the disc but not sure on the back but I believe there was some sort of spacer on the 11s for the ABS? Rest assured, someone here will know

The early 1100S abs wheels ( black brembo calipers) have the disc mounting posts machined on the side with the abs ring so either will work on a
a non abs bike but a non abs bike will have to retain the abs ring or use spacers of the same thickness I think..... The later bikes with the larger diameter discs and Tokico calipers use a thin abs ring that I'm not familiar with...
