New Member looking for R1100S

Hi All, I am a long term BMW 2v Twin and K series owner . My current bike is a 30yr old R80 mono in very nice original condition with only 38k on the clock which i have owned for a few years.
I gave up sports bikes last year (CBR 600F4) and have looked at a few R1100S and am now in the hunt for a decent privately owned one following some dealer shockers at silly prices!!

Any advice on the buying front would be very welcome.
