hi everyone.
as said in the title, new to the R1100S but not new to aircooled boxers, as I previously owned a R1100R.
just bought a 2002, red 1100s.
abs, heated grips, the toolkit intact, all 3 keys, rubbish tires, overall ok....is.
it was recomendet to me as a very good bike, but it had it's problems. after i took it, i discovered that all, and I mean ALL bolts from the handlebar down were loose.
did the throtle bodyes at Dan Cata, fited new PR3 tires, got a givi topcase (wich does not look so bad), new air filter, new sparks, the old ones were not iven for this bike.
works good now, few small problems, a bit of a krake judder on the front and i blame that tot the sintered pads, the idle sometimes go to about 1400-1600.
pulls nice, the 6-th gear (wich i missed in the 1100r) is great, the extra power is great, ABS is great also, iven if is the all hated integral one.
plans.....rear fender, bellypan, paint the front fender in red, maibe some lights on the side and of course, i am keeping an eye open for the Laser exhaust
miself, i am from Romania and I work in a bmw motorrad dealership (biggest around here)
now i an gotta get my beer since is so hot here.
have a great evening.
new to R1100S

thanks.
I do try to enjoy it every day to work and back, but almost everyday I find something new not ok with the bike, that the previews owner told me that is ok.
well, i hope that after checking it from one end to the other I wont have any surprises.
soon the junior will start the school and probably i will be back on 4 wheels.
