R1200S
Hi all,
I bought this earlier in the year and have struggled to get along with it. Its just so different to anything i'm used to and think ultimately i will end up back with a K1200 or K1300. Its only done 5400 miles and whilst the options wont be to everyones liking its a rare opportunity with such low mileage. I'm happy to sell it as is or return it to standard.
If anyone is interested or knows anyone who may be interested drop me a pm.

Generally speaking standard always sells better and it's often rare to get a premium for aftermarket accessories. selling with OEM accessories often get better resale premiums but that's still not guaranteed, especially selling this end of the year.
Having said that if I could be bothered to advertise my BCR I'd have that off you in a heartbeat

For that (extremely) low mileage bike - you may just manage to sell "as is" to someone viewing this site - at a price that keeps you smiling.
Otherwise - return to normal and either sell privately or trade in against a K?

Now, as unusual as this is I am going to disagree with Steve (Parry).
My 1200S was 180 rear tyre model but had a lovely Akra pipe, some very nice Ilmberger carbon and looked a million dollars. When I sold it I believe the extras made it stand out from the other for sale and it sold very quickly ( thanks John SP250) who saw it and wanted it as it was.
So, I think that a tastefully customised 1200S ( which Gooner's is) beats standard every time). If you disagree look at Ebay or MCN and see some standard bikes that have been there for months.
Extras such as the Zard on Gooner's bike makes it very desirable to someone who may wants a 1200s. Yes, if he sold it separately he would get a good price but then he would be left looking at a bog standard 1200S. Not much good selling a £500 exhaust if you still have a £4k bike in the garage ! Far better to have £4400 and an empty slot where the bike once was.
Also, there are only about 250 (edited after Humbug's intervention) of the 1200S in the UK so there is a small market for the extras, i.e. not much competition so supply and demand for extras works differently.
Goober's is a lovely bike in a great colour scheme - i think it will sell as is

You may well be right Andy, I'm looking at the situation from having been in the bike trade and generally dealers prefer stock. Although as you say tasteful accessories are OK. So long as it's not a load of coloured anodized aluminium and bolts
And as for having it, I particularly like the colgate paint version so I'm sticking my fingers in my ears
