Hello from, well... Currently High Peak
Hi
(I posted a similar message on BM Bikes forum).
I'm going to be commuting 150 miles a day and I've decided I want an R1200S. I know all the press say the 1100 is a better bike but I just prefer the 12...
I just have a couple of questions; should I post them here or over in tech forums?

Welcome,
what press would that be ?
Truth is, both are great bikes. I have owned both. The 1100 is a solid bike with good performance and a very good riding position. It also has good pillion seat and very good luggage capabilities.
For solo use the 1200 is quicker and lighter with a slightly more sporty riding position. I can still do a 250 mile day with comfort.
I also average more miles to the fuel light coming on with the 1200.
Good luck with the search

Hi Andy, welcome, just to clear things up here are you sure it is not a TLR1000 you are hunkering for? If not then I am sure you will get helpful suggestions posted by all.3narf wrote:Hi

Fiat Panda.
Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)
started out with nothing, still have most of it left.

God, no! Why would you say that?
Maybe if I had a yacht and needed something to which to anchor it.
I had a jap bike once! Forever leaking oil on my drive, it were, and refusing to start. Never again. No wonder the Japanese bike industry collapsed! Oh, err... Hang on...

Yes, some people not very far away love 'em.

I'll get me coat...
Pick up my coat too please while you are at it, I agree wholeheartedly, the TL is like an ugly child that only a mother could love.
