1. No reply message left. Looks suspicious to me I smell a scam. Also no idea where this one is located
2.Kent. too far
3. NI way too far
4.bumblebee paint uugh I've got this on eblag watched list and any dealer who imports from japan , then squirts silver paint from an aerosol can over corroded fasteners. ....best avoided....what else is poorly hidden
I've seen several bikes just going round and round on ebay (dealers mostly )
Just not selling
So I contact them with little response nor interest from them to cash offers
I guess they like to keep them & not sell them :roll
Thanks for your research
but
at this rate I think I may just buy something completely different
eg 2002 ktm400 exc brilliant condition fully modded, at ,17 miles from where i live!
(A mates bike) off to see it later.
I do like trail bikes
& this one has just come up

Ok agreed that looks a nice one
but a very long way to view let alone fetch back
5hrs plus according to Google maps, which takes no account of the M25!!
(Let's call it an 8hr one way drive then )
Cheers

If is the KTM I think it is you won't be disappointed. They are ever so easy to ride the trails on. Just like a big 250. Me personally would fit a Rekluse clutch. No more stalling but is does take the engine braking away. And you are in the right part of the world to enjoy it.
R1100S is now of such a flavour that you will get either a well looked after example or shoddy ones. For the looked after examples you are going to pay. I'm not parting with mine at the moment even though the thought have crossed my mind many times.

Yes I know "rockyburns" I've bought ktm stuff from him when I had my 990 . I was looking for a trailey ages ago but sold my enfield and bought that velosolex
As you say I do live in the right part of the world
minor dilemma
I could keep the viffer and the ktm and sell the velosolex
Early days

Further to my last
I've tried my first 1100s..........
I found it too sports orientated in its riding position when compared to the Honda vfr800
It was a really nice bike but......I don't think it's going to be for me.
dunno why as I loved my 1150gsa ( "52 plate")
I hoped it would replace my viffer as I love the boxer engine
now I think I may stay where I am.....

I have never owned (or ridden) the 1100, but I understand there are several possibilities regarding handlebar position / height. Do you know where the bars were fitted relative to the top yoke?
This may help if the problem is related to bar position.

That's interesting - I had an identical VFR and found it put too much weight on my wrists. Lovely do everything sort of bike but after the briefest of rides on my 12s I knew the Honda would have to go

It's a long stretch to the 1100S bars. I had to raise them above the top yoke and then add 'bar backs' before it fitted me. The 12S has a shorter reach and is the more comfortable bike (for me) I also have heli bars on my 12. It would be very difficult to ride all day without them. If it stays, there may be a 'superbike handlebar conversion' in it's future.

The bars were below the yokes on the bike I tried.
I'm 6'02" 15 stone, xxxl hands, size 12 (uk) feet.
The whole of the riding position was uncomfortable
that's wrist,neck,back,knees and ankles...being 61 does not help
where the vfr is comfortable straight out of the box
.
I think Im going off piste motoguzzi? ??

no problem with the viffer as I may be 6'02" tall but in 6'07" fingertip to fingertip ( it's my xxxl hands!)
So reach has never been a problem
just seemed very awkward on the 1100s
shame because they look great
