Just thought I'd nip in here and say hello. I live up in hills near Oswestry having taken early retirement from Teaching and spend most of my time either working on bikes (I do service work for the locals on condition they put a donation into my Irish Air Ambulance box
) rock climbing, or teaching skiing abroad during the soggy months. I've got a reasonable collection of other bikes and I Moderate on the UKBEG Buell forum (I'll put photos in the appropriate section later on) and have just bought a year old R1200rs from the Chester dealers. Most of my other bikes are arse up, head down types, and I thought that a Beemer would be a bit on the boring side, however, I've been pleasantly surprised - can't wait to give it a proper spanking on some dry Tarmac. Today's job will be making some alloy frame supports to fit panniers as my my mates have a 'lap of Europe trip' planned on their Monkeystradas. Well, that's me, but no doubt I'll be along shortly with some tech questions, so be patient, I'm new to this flat twin malarkey
