Welcome to the site and good luck with your hunt for an R1100S.

Cheers,

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Thanks guys.
Looking at one tomorrow but still need to sell my F800GS first andcit's not the best time of year to sell. Might have to sit tight til next spring.
Though one chap is offering me a direct swap for a Mamola Boxercup 2003 with 41k miles.

The Mamola BCR''s are a bit taller than a standard 1100s and are fitted as standard with a laser exhaust system, wider rear wheel(180) and better shocks(yellow springs), there are a few standard bikes around that have had a paint job, beware!!
The 1100s sport is same spec as the BCR without the fancy paint. Hope you find a nice one, and welcome.

Thanks Al .
I'm trying a regular R1100 tomorrow. If that is on my height limit, i may have to pass on the Mamola but as i used to have an 1150GSA, i should be ok. I may put higher bars on it for touring comfort though.
Hopefully i'll have one soon.......
Cheers
Dave
