Old one coming back

Postby Britisherspy » Wed Apr 27, 2016 6:59 pm

Hi, been off the forum for a few years, back looking for another R1100S.

I've messaged a couple of people on here that have bikes for sale. Anyone else got one for sale, let me know.

Have I missed the meets for this year, Is there one in Yorkshire?

Welcome back--- Hawes in September might be what your looking for although we are heading up to Jedburgh at the end of May. All in Days Out.

Regards Peter.

Thanks Herman, I remember the Hawes meet from when I last had a Boxer. I've done the same run with a few mates since - Its a cracker.

End of May could be a possible for Jedburgh.

Looking forward to meeting you tomorrow Steve.

For those who are curious, I have had the S for 12 years but have been finding it increasingly difficult to ride long distances due to back ache. I've bought a Triumph Tiger Explorer to get a more upright riding position. I chose it over the GS because if I was going to make the change I wanted something totally different to the boxer. I've had it a couple of months and the riding position is much better for me, the engine is stonking but I'm not sure that I'm going to love it like I have the S.

I would like to stay around with you Trixsters as this is one of my favourite forums and I may well be back in the boxer fold someday.

Nick, I love the old girl. She's a credit to you.
Decent weather up to the M40 then cold drizzle the rest of the way. Got her in the garage just before the heavens really opened.
Cruises nicely at 90 and did the journey without the fuel light coming on.

Just need to sort that brake issue out and if possible lighten the throttle
