New bike
Well, picked up my new bike today from Barrie Robson in York - a 1200 GS TE in Alpine white. Few hiccups with DVLA (surprise surprise!) so not much time for a decent run - first impressions - lurverly!! They've got a Motorsport HP2S in for about £17 000 - very nice. Al, I think you've got a good investment there
'15 R1200GS TE

Yam SR 500 long term restoration
wanna win the lottery and ride my bike

Just had a 70 mile spin out on my new acquisition R1200S too.
Smoother low down, but more vibes mid-range and up, than the 11S.
Brakes feel about the same but slightly better (I guess from the 10KG weight saving), and feels lighter to ride and maneouver.
A nice amount more torque and throttle response throughout.
Took me a while to fit the Bagster tank bag harness, but at least the roads had dried out before I went out.
Can't see the top half of the rev counter though cos I'm a bit taller than Andy, so will have to get a taller screen.
A good first impression I would say.

Sunny day here too for the first ride on the R1200S replacement.
Very nice, very neutral handling, good pick up and very smooth for a Boxer. The auto slipper is my favourite toy so far. LED running light is very slick too.

Ah-hem!......... this is Dave's GS thread...............
Nice one! I still haven't ruled the LC GS out - as the replacement for my 1200GSA next year......
You're getting a good spread of bikes there, Dave - one for all seasons.
