Mr. Spock is my role model so be advised; I possess no (discernible) sense of humour.
It's all VFR (DCT) round here now. STILL missing my 1100s tho.

So he pulled it outy of a hedge in 1966. The restoration is going a bit slow ain't it?
There would appear to be a surfeit of prolixity and sesquipedalian content today please do not use a big word when a singularly un-loquacious and diminutive linguistic expression will satisfactorily accomplish the contemporary necessity

Looks like it has new cables and levers
There are a few old unrestored bikes doing the rounds up that way i can think of a vincent [not sure of model but it's a thousand twin owned by a doctor also a few old BSA's they cover thousands of miles every year why fix it if it aint broke even cleaning takes time that can be spent riding
Nothing winds me up more than some of the show bikes out there non runners half of them no internals in the engine cases or tennis balls fitted instead of pistons or half tennis balls ontop of pistons to give impression of compression give me a propper bike anyday something that runs and works not a show bike with mirrors placed underneith so you can see how shiney it is underneth [spellinng] of course it's bl00dy shiney theres no oil in the dam thing and it hasn't seen a road for years 40 year old bikes with 200 miles from new get it from me before i shove it mate it's a motorcycle not a bl00dy ornamant
Sorry end of rant Dai

On more than one occasion i have been involved in judging custom and classic shows and would NEVER pick out a bike that didn't show signs of use[dirt under mudguards etc] i realise not everyone can ride but FFS give the bike to someone that can ride don't put it on a trailer ride the thing to the show or have it ridden there
I remember some of the early Hells Angel shows the bike had to be ridden in a figure of eight before it could be entered
Most of the Chopper Club shows you have to ride the bike up to collect your trophy no ride bike no trophy
I dispare with some of the classic brigade a mate of mine lucky sod turned up to a south wales vintage motorcycle club meeting i was a member but not for long after this
He was on a Vincent Black Shadow it was lovely i would sell my soul to have it of course he rode it the 40 miles there down the motorway at illegal speeds i was with him on my then bike 1971 T500 Suzuki
We parked up went into the bar came out there was a small croud round the Vincent we went over one of the croud turned round and said it's a nice bike but it's criminal that it has mukini flatside carbs on it [How we laughed]
Chris has had this bike from new it lived in a heated carpeted garage and was his baby every penny he had was spent on the bike making it better than when it had left the factory he still lived at home with his mam and was in his late fifties
Classic brigade laughable in my eyes it was made to be used so use the dam thing
