Welcome on board. How long have you had the bike? What modification have you done to your airbox? Are you still running the standard air intake snorkel?

Cheers,

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Air box mod

Postby speedmachine » Thu Jan 12, 2006 3:01 pm

I have got the standard air box and in sonnet it in half
just after the thinnest point leaving a big hole I have then
put the middle connector pie into the hole is a bit of a squeeze
but it goes go in put airbox back on the two screws that old
the air box in place do not line up but the airbox is tight
in it position anyway so I have left the screws out
when put in the side panel back on it was a bit of a squeeze
but not too much problem I have no doubt in my mind
that I have doubled the air capacity

Have you run the bike since making the mod? does it make any difference? Take some 'photo's the next time you take the panels off, so we can see what you've done.

All the best,

Paul - 100% genuine Geordie (lapsed  )

Ridden with air box

Postby speedmachine » Fri Jan 13, 2006 3:46 am

Before I did the air box I found that the bike would be quick. Up to
hundred and 20 mph and then it would still pick up but not as quick but now.
It just keeps pulling up to hundred and 50 mph from 6000 revs. It really does pull like mad. From 1000 up to 6000 revs The power delivery is so smooth. You will benefit from this modification it is worth doing .
Having got a digital camera yet but working on it.

{PS} thanks for comma's and full stops.
