it starts september 1st for the new reg, covers all vehicles so i think you will see a lot more police cars with anpr fitted around after that date, also you can buy your tax monthly to.

I rarely ever stick the most recent disk on the bike which I know is asking for trouble and I was once pulled over in my car for not displaying the most recent tax disk the conversation went something like this...

"Does this car have tax?"
"yes, but I am yet to put it in the window, sorry. It's at home"
"Are you known to the police?"
"No???"
"Okay, make sure you put the tax in the window".

Never had anyone take the tax disk off my bike, why would they? The police/cameras do reg checks mostly don't they?
