terrible question

What is the go to tyre for the boxer cup at the moment the Pirelli angels need replacing due to age not to worried about miles per tyre but a decent touring might be a better idea.

open to suggestions

Everyone will have their favourites, I suspect.

Get a quote for the following, and pick the cheapest (if one stands out as sig cheaper)

Michelin Pilot Road 4 or 5
Conti Road Attack 3
Bridgestone T31
Metzeler Roadtec-01
Pirelli Angel
Dunlop Roadsmart 3
Maxxis Supermaxx ST (could be a cost-effective choice if you change your own wheels)

I'm using Michelin road 5 tyres, on my second set. As an all-round road tyre I've not used anything better. Wet weather performance is especially impressive.

Not a tyre snob mesen. The bike came shod originally with M1`s in the days when we were less older and we all thought they (and we) were the biz. Tried most sports tyres that people rave about and when i got wiser and (tighter) I tried maxxis. GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY. Not looked back since. As Blackal says if you fit yourself they can be had inexpensively. (see what i did there? used a posh word for cheaply and making something more appealing) Motorway miles square any tyre off, super sticky dont last 5 mins any brand (but who cares when you are having so much fun). Choices, Choices, variety is the spice of life.

Mike Hailwood`s favourite tyres were round black ones.

I've been more than happy with my Bridgestones, however , I'm not a "scratcher" any more.

Also a fair bit of my riding is 2 up.

Did I mention 99% of my riding is on smooth dry tarmac roads ?

I guess that also helps, although all the years in UK I never experienced any issues on the wet stuff .

Actually bought the Michelin pilot 4 been happy so far, gave confidence from start.
