Hi Guys,
I'm still a newbie to the r1100s and what i'm struggling to get to terms with is the history of the various models between 99 - 05 (stand to be corrected if they ran longer than this). I want to understand if there is a lot of difference not so much between different models themselves (reasonably well documented (i.e. s versus ss vs cup replica's etc), but did the bike evolve over the years & if so what where they?

Ditto me,
So, is Pelican parts The Oracle as far as this is concerned?

Thanks BMbler, got my hopes up there for a while, but:
Will have a look at Pelican Parts but thought they were into American cars so thinking they will have US spec information.
Cheers though, I'm picking up random bits of informative info from the forum posts. Geoff
... These two mention R 1100 R, RS, RT, GS but not R1100SBMbler wrote:http://www.bmbikes.co.uk/bmwmodels.htm... just has one spec for all years, does not cover improvements and changes in production over years as OP requested.

Hi Geoff,
Welcome on board! I'm in Brum myself (although not a local) - whereabouts are you?
The pelican parts forum has sub sections for various German cars, and also has one dedicated to our favourite motorcycles - have a look here:
