That's a pretty spectacular paint job you have there, ME. A pearl white I assume?

Oh my god! How could anybody do this to an S? Get the stock plastic back on before the lurid colour makes us all ill.

Still I guess you must like it, whatever rings your bell as they say. Not really to my taste as you may have gathered.

Keep :D ride safely

Hrum.......... Well the stock plastics on this bike were the ugly ass red/orange from 99'.......... one of BMW's worst colour choices ever. So, they got painted. Yes that's a pearl white, with ghostish flames to work with the motosport roundel. The mandarian is good too, but I've a major problem with most BMW traditionalist. You see...... Stock Sucks. Keeping a stock bike one might as well have an R1, Gixxer 1000, or american iron. I was at the paiona colorado rally last year, and out of about 1000 bikes, most like models couldn't be told apart outside of the DoDads stuck on them. That's sad. .........

R11S rebuilt from wrecked.......
work cloths (full spares down to the seat and signals)
Fancy dress (clear lenses all around)
hugger
ohlins
lazer and chip
throttlemeister

I'm trying to work out what's going on with the headers. Are they painted or mucky? :?

M.E.
So was/is the stock Dog Dick Pink or Mandarian(sic). If its the former I can well understand you wanting to change the colour but the latter is a very fine colour that is almost as good as Silver.

I expect there are a any number of special paint jobs out there in the states and a few in the UK as well but being a very conservative fellow I like mine just fine in the colour it left the factory with.

We stayed overnight in Golden when on a coast-coast concert tour of the US back in '95. A superb place - plus Colorado/Utah were without any doubt the most beautiful states we visited on the whole trip. :)
