Good eyes Ron, it's an ultrasonic roo/wallaby, old lady deterrant. They emit a high frequency pattern of ultrasonic sounds approximately 40 metres either side of the vehicle and projecting some 400 metres to the front of vehicle over 50 km/h.

Mitch - You have excelled! (except for the rim tape :? )

Magnificent looking machine. I've only ever seen a black one in the state.

Cheers,

Blinky

So it's a whistle. :D
There would appear to be a surfeit of prolixity and sesquipedalian content today please do not use a big word when a singularly un-loquacious and diminutive linguistic expression will satisfactorily accomplish the contemporary necessity

One either side

Postby Mitch1100 » Tue Dec 02, 2014 9:36 pm

Yep one either side  Spent $4000.00 repairing car front recently after hitting a roo  no whistles fitted...for $5 I'll try. Here's a small wallaby on our front lawn late afternoon...early morning/night they're everywhere...living in a rural area has small drawbacks. [Image

Wonder if that would work with deer??? One of my favourite stretches of road near home often has deer grazing by the roadside. While none have yet stepped out in front of me, they do cause me to shut off and trickle past, which spoils the flowing run. And soumetimes, you can't see the little muntjacs until the head pops up to check out the bike.

Nice garden, Mitch.

They do - and are marketed in the UK for that purpose.
