Simply stunning Paul, I really like that finish and also the chosen colour.
Shame Chris is at the other end of the country.

Re: Goodbye Granite...
Thanks Chris, but no, I am not going to bother painting my crash helmet to match. Looking forward to bringing the bike up to the borders for the Reivers Ride 2018.
Cheers,
Paul

You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

From the painters perspective
Paul brought me his stock R1200RS and wanted a faded orange and silver paint job in the same style as an original R90S. I advised him that it simply wouldn't translate into a decent scheme as a R1200Rs is just too angular with disjointed panels.
We spent an hour or so looking at colours and planning how they'd work out etc and we were good to go .... I'll let the photos do the rest of the talking!

This bike looks really good! It's amazing how the whole look of a bike can be changed by painting some parts in a really cool colour. Well done!
Re: Goodbye Granite...
Wow!
I wonder how many more they would have sold in this paint scheme

Re: Goodbye Granite...
That top box has had more coats of paint than the Forth Rail Bridge!!
You just need an Iron Man M/C suit and helmet to complete the look Paul.
Cool.
Really impressed with the "artiste`s" effort. The masking technique for the graphics super good.

Re: Goodbye Granite...
It needs plenty of paint on the top box lid, since the Arc Reactor I installed in it, to power the Iron Man suit I'm developing, runs pretty hot
