An interesting take on the R1100s

Postby Blackal » Tue Apr 21, 2015 9:23 am

Found this pic on 'tinternet (selling spoilers) - is this one of the companies selling kits for the HP2s?

Not so keen on the hugger treatment, but overall - the addition of the HP2s-esque tailpiece brings a modernity to the 1100s?

Maybe the S1000R side strakes are a step too far, but on the whole - I like it!

Yeah I saw that a few days ago but couldn't link it so gave up.

As you say, interesting and obviously quite a bit of work gone into it but in my humble opinion they shouldn't have bothered

Vive la difference I guess

Another shot:

I agree - it's interesting but not life changing. Put it this way - I won't be spending my Lloyds bank refund on one :D
And the shark gill side vents don't suit the bike at all IMHO - I wonder if they serve a useful purpose - additional airflow through the oil cooler maybe?

If it wasn't for those silly gills...

Do like the rear end. The fairing looks unnecessarily complex - perhaps that's partly just a paint effect. Be interesting to see the 'face'.

By all means go for a race replica paint job, but why try to make our favourite tractor look like an existing super bike? Odd. I'm assuming he's not having a larf...

I do like the rear but it looks like it was achieved by modifying the subframe hasn't it? Otherwise I'd be tempted to get the rear section!
