RB,

Mail relaying from the site is currently "jiggered". Gromit is trying to get a fix from the new ISP, so hopefully this will be sorted soon...

Cheers,

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

I actually exactly the same error message with a posting (in Sales) and I repeated the attempt to post a few times to see if it cleared.

Odd thing was that the 5 posts I'd attempted to send..... HAD worked!! but it was something in the confirmation page that wasn't working (by the looks of it).

Yup - the 'debug' error message comes up but has no bearing on the appearance of the the post in the thread ie it works fine. It's to do with the notification of a reply to those who are subscribed to that particular thread. As soon as we've the smtp mail server working properly, we should be cooking.

Still awaiting a reply from the hosting company's support thingy.

Had exactly the same problems as Riceburner ,below. Could not contact people who wanted to buy stuff from me.

Great site though - love all the graphics!

Like Riceburner, I have never been able to send an e-mail or a private message and keep getting Error 535 up.

Folks,

E-mail (amongst other things) on this host is not working. Gromit is in the process of sorting out a new host and we will move the site this weekend hopefully. We will keep the same address so you won't need to update your bookmarks.

Cheers,

Paul

pm problem (?)

Postby macuser » Thu Jan 05, 2006 8:34 am

Hi

Since recently getting in touch with chris concerning batteries, (and following his reply) I keep receiving emails notifying that I've received new pm's - however, when I check there are no new pm's to be viewed?

Any thoughts?

Cliff,

possible causes could be:

1) you're not logged in when you try to read your PMs
2) you have multiple accounts set up and you're logged in oon one while the PM went to the other?
3) er... I'm struggling

I'll send you a PM and let me know if you get that.

Cheers,

Paul
