For Sale. 2000 R1100S...Now Sold.

[colo[/color]Sad day for me, could be a great day for you! I have decided to part ways with my R1100S after a 20 year relationship.
The bike has been owned by me since September 2000, bought from SPC at Farringdon who had it as a show bike. It is the silver and mandarin colour scheme and apart from normal areas of paint degradation (forks and brace) is in all round excellent condition. Bike has done 55000 almost trouble free miles and for many years has been a much loved pride and joy. Unfortunately, I now have tendon issues in both shoulders and am not comfortable riding any more.
Bike has Remus exhaust, Goodridge brake hoses, shortened paralever strut. I have all service info and receipts for life of bike. Apart from paint wear and tear, the only blemishes are a scrape on RH rocker cover and seat fairing where bike fell over many years ago. All original parts including almost brand new exhaust are included.
At the moment the bike is SORN and not MOT'd, but will be sold with a fresh MOT and oil change.
I'm asking £2300 for it and hoping it goes to a good home! I am in North East Hampshire area for any COVID compliant viewings!

I get the impression that the market for the R1100s has got more buoyant in the last year, with several new owners popping up on different media platforms.

Mine was in nowhere as pretty a condition as yours, I eventually dropped the ads, and am just carry on using mine, fortunately no health issues.

However, apart from a dozen wheel kicker time wasters, the best offer I had was £1400, so you can imagine what I told that bloke to do .

I'd rather mothball it , if I were you, than let some one rip you off .

One day the right person will take it off you.

The price you are asking , in my opinion is a gift !

Thanks Gerry. Wise words. Must admit, bit surprised at no interest shown, guess the market is a bit odd at the moment. I was hoping for bike to go to a fellow enthusiast and will probably keep it in the garage until that time! Just refresh ad here from time to time

Phil, I sympathise with you.

And to be honest, I'm pleased that you are not going to release such a beautiful bike to some one who will not appreciate it.

As I said, a genuine buyer will find you , and will pay a realistic price .

Hi guys. Due hopefully imminent house move, I've decided the old girl really needs a new home and owner. So, price reduced to a hopefully very attractive £1300 as it is now. I cannot get mot because I cannot ride it due shoulders kaput , surgery in 2 weeks time!
