Andy, was thinking about one of the universal harnesses they do for £30 as opposed to the full cover version. Should have them in stock, but I will call to make sure.

Thanks Steve - will also check it out.

Don't know about that Richard, everyone was fast and safe except a couple of the "other lot" as we know.
I may also get one of them there new fangled S1000XR weapons before next years Flash anyway - can't let PB have all the fun can we?

plus order an R1200RS with all the gadgets. Stock is a bit short on the ground currently so this may take a little while. Some dealers quoting October  - which if true may result in waiting until early next year. The K11 is a great machine so I'm looking forward to using that a bit more.

Sounds like an excellent plan, lucky you, especially with a new RS.As the yoof of today would say I'm well jell

Steve, that guy is based in Northumberland - Scandinavian - I bought my Givi topbox for the VFR off him. He told me last year he was getting into the Bagster stuff. His place is absolutely packed with kit. Seemed a top guy

The circle is complete.

Yesterday, was getting the 'no bikes til October' from a bit of a ring round which was a bit of a downer but by today my local dealer had sourced a R1200RS SE with keyless ride for August 1st OTR.

As part of my research I even found a new R1200RS owners forum ( it will obviously have to go some to be as good as this one :D )

But, what I did find on that site was a link to this sitehttp://fridemotoshop.com/en/4-bmw
where they are doing Navigator V satnavs for £410 delivered - that is £200 off retail so if that helps anyone else then fill your boots.

Transaction complete. I hope John has as much fun as I had.

A really great bike, loved it. Brilliant performance, cheap to buy, cheap to insure, cheap to run, distinctively different.

If you love the 1100S you would love the extra grunt and lower weight of the 1200s. I have seen more for sale this summer than before ( 1200RS effect?) so if you are thinking about one you will not regret it. Different enough to the 1100 that you could justify both.

I wil still be lurking around the forum I reckon :D

If only I'd seen your MCN advert or this thread a little earlier... Bugger. If anyone else has an R1200S as nice as this that they are trying to shift, just drop me a PM 8)

Congrats John on picking up a stunning example of the breed and good luck Andy in sourcing your replacement bike. Can I have first dibs when you eventually come to sell that?

Cheers,

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.
