Long shot

Postby Al » Tue May 05, 2020 3:52 pm

I know it’s old school but does anyone have an Albrecht AE 600 intercom gathering dust somewhere that they don’t want anymore? Changed to a flip front each, and my setup had 1 full face and one open face kit.
I know I should join the digital age but it works fine and gets only occasional use.

Put the hosepipe away Al, found a universal kit on FC MOTO, supposed to fit the Albrecht, for £23 worth a go.

Al, I agree with you.

I've been down the blue tooth route, and apparently unless you spend several hundred pounds, they are a waste of time .

Well mine certainly was.

I found a £10 kit at a market , 2 AA batteries, ok you have wires and an ear piece and Mike, but at 70 / 80 mph you can still chat to the passenger .

So , like you , I prefer the old school .

Bluetooth is the standard now, and has been for around 10yrs.

I'm still using my Scala Rider G4 setup from 2010 - great system and the battery still lasts all day on open-mic.

Only downside was when the comms module fell off Dorsetboy's helmet mount, getting off the ferry......................

But - I had a spare module, already paired up - so business as usual.

I'm sure those with wired systems start each communication with: "BD to Zed-Victor-One"
