Parting out my HP2 Sport

Postby com5984 » Wed Sep 02, 2015 10:22 am

If anyone is interested in parts for a HP2 sport please pm me. It is in immaculate condition with approx 8.5k miles, all BMW recalls completed and regularly serviced.
I usually get it out once a week for a leisurely Sunday ride other than that it's kept in a nice warm garage.
I'll only do this if I can sell the majority of the parts.

Are you saying that you are planning on dismantling it, and selling the parts - as long as you get interest in most of them?

Perhaps a difficult thing to facilitate without the initial commitment to strip it?

I dare say some things will be extremely popular.

Hi Rob
Your keeping your race bike, right?
I think you wouldn't have a problem selling your road hp2. You may get more parting it out, but it's a limited market and you would need to sell lots of the bits at decent prices. Factor in that anybody buying from overseas WILL get stung for import duty, and then there is the cost of shipping. So unless your selling parts very cheap, then I think you would struggle to sell .
Anyway good luck with the sale and keep us posted on your racing.
All the best
Gus

Ok, I think I know who com5984 is now. :D
I might have heard something about someone with a couple of HPs. One for racing and one to keep.
