Rough or refusal to run
Returning home from Scotland on the normal reliable R1200S, it first started running roughly and would only idle at about 2500rpm - awkward for riding thro Glasgow on a Saturday! It calmed down over my lunch but by the time I reached Gretna Green it wouldn’t idle at all, and stalled whenever it coul...

Re: R1200S panniers wanted
Yep - very very lucky to buy a set from Dave. He’s an absolute top guy - panniers as new, fair price and delivered as well. Just back from another trip to the Highlands with the panniers and Katie Price (ok, made the last bit up).

Re: R1200S panniers wanted
Thanks, gents. Tried all these approaches, but with no luck. They are indeed as rare as a big bag of very rare things but .... fingers crossed.

R1200S panniers wanted
Just been up to the Highlands on my 1200S using a set of borrowed panniers. They were really good, so I’m after a pair. I realise that they’re like hen’s teeth, but has anybody out there in the boxer universe got a pair they don’t need anymore? Fingers crossed - thanks, all.

Re: R1200S hugger
Hi
Thanks very much. Managed to find the advert, and the hugger looks just the job. Are you still looking for £180 for it?

Re: Inside my garage
Fair comment, but I remember the SP2 generally getting one star for comfort! Never thought it that bad, but 500 mile days were getting to be a real struggle.

I’d agree, but the Puig looks an affordable second choice at the mo!

Inside my garage
Just waiting for my R1200S to arrive, so the garage looks a bit sparse with just my 2015 Fireblade (a thing of beauty) there. It used to have a VTR1000 SP2 with it, but after 80,000+ miles together I had to sell that for something more comfortable! Here’s hoping .....

R1200S hugger
Hi! New member here: after 25 years of Honda sports bike ownership I’ve bought a R1200S to keep my Fireblade company, and to help my ageing knees. It needs a hugger, but the prices of new ones mean I’m looking for a used one. Does anyone have one or know of one, please? I’m told Ilmberger are the ma...
