Re: R18 landed
I'm looking forward to custom bikes with that engine. I'm not much in to polishing things but I don't mind putting my finger prints on them.

Re: ABS Question
Hi Keith, I can't help you with the ABS type. I may be able to help with the accessory wiring. I suggest you power it directly from the battery. Use an off the shelf, four or five pin accessory relay to switch it on when the Ignition is on. Do this by connecting it to an existing switched source (gr...

exhaust gasket substitute
I'm looking for a substitute for BMW part 18 12 1 342 969 EXHAUST SEAL. This is the seal between the header pipes and the cat. BMW has these priced at £13.61 or 16.6 USD each. The average cost of any common gasket is under 5 USD. I feel mine are a bit overdue for a replacement. Hopefully someone kno...

Greetings from the Sunshine State
I've been cruzin the boxertech page since March of 2018. I am just getting around to the other topics. I have a 1980 R100 and a 1999 R1100S, what a difference 100 CCs and 19 years of advancements in technology makes. I'll admit I'm partial to wrenching on the Airhead. I'm a member of the ABC and att...

Not sure what I like least about this ad, the price or the attempt to make it look that valuable. https://miami.craigslist.org/brw/mpo/d/ ... 00336.html

Re: clutch line bleed
One M10 x 1mm thread bleeder valve is needed. US parts stores don't have them on their display racks. If you can find a computer savvy person at the parts store, they may be able to source one from a search, as they are common to European cars. Locate the pig tail or bleeder extension, it usually re...

Re: Fuel Remnants ?
If avoiding the removal of the the tank is part of the immediate mission, I would try draining it from the crossover hose. Yeah, you will have to remove the Tupperware, but you can keep the tank in place. Once it is drained, you can poke around in the tank with a pipe cleaner or simular via the vaca...

1100S Tube between Throttle Bodies
My recent purchase, a 1999 R1100s came with a few obvious mods. remus exhaust, Y connection, K&N air filter. So far I'm pleased with the lot, but I am stumped with this one. There is a hose connecting the two throttle body synch ports. On the right side of the hose, just before it disappears bel...
