a knackered fuel pump maybe the cause of mine popping and banging on the overrun, still aint taken it for a proper run yet with the new fuel pump to see if it still does it, but shit does it have grunt now :D must have been fading away for a few years as I had forgotten why I had originally brought ...

CW's were closed on the parts counter today (bloody useful after a weekends riding et cetera!), so contacted Bristol BMW, turns out only one fuel pump is available and is in Germany, may get it, may not and be off the road till another one is available.

ah yes the problems with R11S's..... final drive seal blown at 10k, gearbox seal replaced at 20k, catalytic converter replaced at 25k, lower yoke clamp replaced due to severe corrosion at 30k, seized Tokico front calliper stripped and rebuilt with new pistons and seals at 40k, fuel tank electrical ...

well take note of some of the comments made above and you'll either come to a respectable solution, or take heed and head over to the GS forum

ohhh, got more problems now! the cradle has been manufactured in such a way that the sprung weight portion is so close to the un-sprung portion, that it happily chatters away without even having the GPS fitted to it, leaving a trail of dark grey dust slowly coming out from between the portions ...

I have the same clamp on the top yolk and have had it for 2 !/2 years now with no problems. I used titanium bolts on mine with a standard plastic cradle on top of it. I seems to mount a little further back than yours and is fully adjustable so there is no problem with the key or the line of sight ...

yup, and I don't know whether it's an optical illusion but the parts picture seems to suggest that the tabs are kinked outwards slightly rather than being parallel.....

Oh, and the lock when nothing fits vibrates harder than a Rampant Rabbit :lol: it's annoying the hell out of me at present ...
