Nope - some are smaller. The 5" rim has 170 section tyre on.
You have the wider rim and thus the larger 180 tyre.
Yep it’s a 170mm rear tyre that I’ve got as had the standard 5” wheel.

Free: Stand for R1100S
Free to a forum member to collect from near Lichfield, Staffordshire. This is an ace home made bike stand by Merecat. I want it to go to a forum member. Can lift the bike yourself without assistance. Also has a long easy lift handle. Pictured in use here. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/915/296667386...

Re: R1100S 2001 (Merecat)
Updated listing. I’m only looking for offers over £2500 now as it’s going to end up being part exchanged otherwise.
I really need a bike I can ride and this one deserves to be ridden and loved.

I cringe when I see people riding around like that.
A little stupid I’d say.

Thanks Dave. They’re a marmite bike but much to like about them. Just doesn’t work for me.

*SOLD* R1100S 2001 (Merecat)
SOLD Hi all I've tried to get on with the bike but I just can't. It doesn't fit me essentially in a few ways. So it's up for sale and I'd like it to go to someone who will respect it as much as the previous owner Mick (Merecat) did. As you all know it has some sentimental value, so it's important it...

Re: To raise or not to raise?
Neil If you are doing the job yourself, be careful when you slide the fork tubes down out of the top yoke to get the Hbar off, as the bike will collapse as having no front suspension. Pull up on the bars for full extension and have a buddy stick blocks or a jack under the sump or a bar through wher...

Re: Wanted R1100S bar risers
I'm in the same position as yourself but i found that bar risers can create other problems when using the oe seat and if i modified the seat then the pegs wouldn't be in the correct position , i've ended up back with the bars below the top yoke :? . Definitely worth a try though before exchanging b...

Re: Ilmberger hugger flew off :(
Mine has one and I can’t say as I’m impressed with the quality. It’s a lot of money for a crappy bit of carbon fibre.

Thanks!
I’m half coming to the conclusion that I may have to swap for something else. It’s not really agreeing with me.

Re: Wanted R1100S bar risers
This doesn’t sound right to me, vibration on the r1100s has never been that bad for me. Has bike had it’s throttles balanced? The best thing I have done re smoothing out the bike is putting one of John Gemi’s chips in it but it was never about vibrations for me. Brad Yeah I check/ adjust the thrott...

Re: Wanted R1100S bar risers
Buy an RT it cured my bad back and aching wrists :D Hah! It’s a last ditch attempt to make it properly rideable for me. I’ve recently altered the coding plug to take account of my cat bypass pipe and it’s made a considerable difference to how smooth it is now. So it’s much more agreeable now. Vibra...

Wanted R1100S bar risers
As the subject says. I’m struggling with my hands, even with the bars above the triple clamp.
