bit harsh! (possibly fair).

On the other hand, the 1200S is now 8 years old. So if its got a decent residual value its probably cos you havent done enough miles on it! :P

And lets face it, the BMW bike demographic these days is average age 45. (dealer comment not mine). They're nearly all 'boys ...

Greetings Trixters.
Been a while since I posted but I saw this thread.

I've just traded the 1200S in for an RS.

TBH I did fancy a change. I put about 17,000 on the S. Took it to Norway, LeMans, but coming back from Scotland this year (making 'good progress' as they say) and the old shoulders ...

I use the expandable Wunderlich one originally designed for the 1100s.

The tabs that lined up with the seat hump bolts on the 1100 also line up with the bungee tabs under the 1200 seat pad.

Chris, I have to get to croydon quite often cos its where my driver wallah lives.
I go as follows and its usually better than right round the M25:

leave M25 at J13
follow A308 past Kempton Park and then Hampton Court Palace
right onto A309 hampton Court Way
then A3 for 1 junction.
right onto A240 ...
