Oh well.........I'm 50!

My first bike was a Honda CB125, then the 400/4 when it first came out, followed by a 550/4. Never managed to stretch to a 750/4 however I've always had a soft-spot for Honda 4's since.

This new offering floats my boat. Finances allowing I'd have one in the garage along ...

For those of you out there with GS's or similar I've just bought a Shoei Hornet (their alternative to the Arai Tour-X).

Must say after a 80 mile plus ride at the weekend I am well impressed. Very stable at speed and even without the Pinlock fitted it stayed pretty mist free. Comes with removal chin ...

With the purchase of my GS I currently fancy one of the new Shoei Hornet helmets. Unfortunately the colour I like the most only comes in a matt finish.

Any one got any experience of these matt finishes? Do they clean-up okay and the fly splatts come off.

I left the fold a couple of months ago though still can't resist remaining on the Forum (I did get a GS though :D )

At the end of the day you've just got to go with whatever "floats your boat".......and what the budget allows!

What you require out of a bike does change over time.

Once had the outgoing 1150R as a loan bike; had to it ride 70 miles in torrential rain to get home :shock:

You can easily forget how unprotected you are from the weather on a naked bike.

I'm sure the 1200R is great for a fine weather blast but personally I prefer something with a little more ...
