Re: 2004 BCR for sale
Thanks to everyone who sent a PM - I've been away for over a week to Scotland, only got back on Saturday, someone came round on Sunday and I have now sold the BCR.

2004 BCR for sale
So I've owned my 2004 BCR since it was a year old. I've done nearly 70k miles on it, it's been to Northern Ireland, Scotland, Spain, France, Germany, Luxembourg. It's done a couple of laps of the Nurburgring, a few laps around Brands Hatch on a rider skills day, a couple of track days at Cadwell Par...

Re: Conversion complete
Aye, getting older and was finding BCR a little too cramped for my 6'2" frame. Bought the ABM (German) superbike handlebar conversion kit and footpeg lowering kit from Motorworks. Finally got it all put together and went out for a 50-mile jaunt earlier, completely changed an already great bike...

Re: Boxercup decals
Thanks for the help. I found the website for the place in Galashiels and messaged them - no reply yet. If they don't come back to me I'll try the first place I posted, if they're rubbish I'll be out £40, but it could be a lot worse....

Boxercup decals
So my 2004 BCR is getting a little bit tatty in places, due to 66k and 15 years of my ownershipI It is well maintained but cosmetically it is not as good as it might be, some of the stickers are scuffed etc. A quick google search for BMW r1100s boxer cup stickers gave me a link to this site - https:...

This is a copy of a post I put on another forum (our bikeclub website!) after my trip to Germany in August - I think I was a little more pedestrian than the original poster here... Has anyone here ridden the Nurburgring? I did one lap last week - 13.6 miles (or so) of complete madness!! There were a...

Checklists
This is a true account of a Maintenance checklist!! After every flight, Qantas pilots fill out a form, called a "gripe sheet," which tells mechanics about problems with the aircraft. The mechanics correct the problems; document their repairs on the form, and then pilots review the gripe sh...

FWIW my money is on 'worst case of wishful thinking this week'! I suspected as much!! Can't blame a boy for trying though!! Don't really fancy all the messing taking fairings off around to get to the battery just to try a theory that might not be provable even if it's true!! While it's still workin...

Like I said, I hadn't specifically opened the throttle twice wth the ignition on the reset the motronic thingy until Tuesday morning. Today it started forst time so I took it for a ride, about 15 miles, and a refuel, again it started first time just like it always used to. And when I got home it sta...

The replacement battery is one of those nice expensive Odyssey PC680 jobbies. Although I have ridden the bike about 100 miles since I fitted the battery I hadn't specifically opened the throttle twice prior to starting it. I did that this morning (well yesterday now) and then tried to start it, and ...

No, there's no alarm fitted. I haven't left the parking lights on. There is nothing fitted to the bike that didn't come as standard (apart from a hugger), so no heated grips etc. Unless there's a bad connection or short somewhere the only possible drain is the clock!! Like I said it now has a brand ...

Maybe someone can help with my starting problem. Twice last year my bike (2004 BCR, no mods except cat removed) had what appeared to be a flat battery, when it shouldn't have. The first time was the morning after quite a lot of riding, the second time was a good few months later when it failed to re...
